Typical applications

  • Kitchen countertops and islands
  • Integrated and farmhouse sinks
  • Fireplace and wood-stove surrounds (a traditional use)
  • Laboratory-style and utility counters

Typical uses for soapstone in general. Suitability for a specific project depends on the slab and how the room is used.

Care and maintenance

Optionally wipe with mineral oil or a soapstone wax every few weeks at first, then less often, to keep an even colour. Scratches are sanded out rather than polished. Any mild cleaner is fine.
